Falling in love with Vancouver

I fell head over heels in love with Vancouver when I was there last.

I had previously gone to Vancouver two times, but this time was unlike the others. This time, I was looking around me.

I was with my friend Steffanie, who like I said in my previous blog post inspires the hell out of me. Whenever I am with her, I feel like she’s looking at the world in a whole different way than I am. It makes me want to be more connected, more inspired and more thoughtful with life.

Steffanie is such an amazing woman. She is always looking around her. She’s watching, listening and seeing the world for what it is.. beautiful.

When we decided to go to Vancouver, we wanted to make it a fun girls weekend. We wanted to spend it shopping, eating, drinking and exploring. It’s exactly what we did!

After searching for what felt like forever, we eventually found a place that sold the most amazing cheese. We spent so much time in that restaurant going on and on about how great the cheese was. (Serious food porn)

We both bought the same book and decided to start a book club. We’re reading #GIRLBOSS right now, so expect a review once we’re finished it.

We also got to meet up with our friend Kelsey. It was so nice to see that chick again! I couldn’t be happier for her job success and the happiness she feels finally being back in Vancouver. The three of us spent one morning exploring Grandville Island. We had breakfast, beers, went to a shop full of crystals and another full of brooms.

I even put my feet in the Pacific Ocean! I’ve been wanting to do that since I moved here, but I never got the chance. Finally, my Atlantic Ocean loving feet have fallen in love with a new ocean.

It was just the most amazing weekend full of creating a blossoming meaningful friendship, flashing the awkward turtle sign a lot and just completely and utterly enjoying life.

My Vancouver weekend with Steffanie was probably my favourite weekend since I moved to British Columbia. It made me feel passionate about life and inspired to create.

Steffanie, thank you for exploring and always being up for making the most out of life with me. Having you in my life means a lot to me.

Life was meant for good friends and great adventures.
