I’m moving to Kelowna

The time has come to tell everyone I’m moving to Kelowna, British Columbia!!!

I’ve been living in Thompson for more than a year and a half now, and although I have loved my time in the city, I am about to move on and make a big career step along the way. I moved to Thompson when I was 20,  I didn’t know anyone, had never been to Manitoba before, and I was moving for my first industry job.

In the past year and a half I have learnt so much about who I am as a person, as a professional, as a friend, and what I want my life to become for future Molly. I’ve loved, laughed, and cried throughout my time in Thompson, and I’ve met some amazing people I will never forget.

Now it’s time for my next step which is Kelowna, British Columbia. I’ve never been to BC before, and I’ve never seen the mountains. This next step will show me if all that I figured out in Thompson has stuck with me. I’m excited for this next step, and I can’t wait to have my own place, and start working on my goals.

I’m going to be working for as a reporter. The publication tries to focus on “Stuff that Matters” and the positive things going on in the world. I can’t wait to be a part of this publication, and show them and myself what I’m capable of.

I’m driving to Kelowna starting Sept. 24, and will document my road trip with my cat Obi on the blog. The future of the Book of Molly will include my first experiences in British Columbia, and maybe even a travel guide for the area.

There is something incredibly hopeful about a fresh start.

I love, love, LOVE Kelowna! For years it was my summer getaway location. The people are nice and it’s absolutely beautiful. I always think of it as a nicer Lake Tahoe. Good luck in your move and with your new adventure!!

I’m green with envy! It’s our long term plan to head to Kelowna or Kamloops, I love it down there and visit often. I, too, am in the midst of a big move, but it’s about 7 hours north of there.
