October Goals

October Goals

I see the fall as a way to refresh my life. I’m not sure if it’s because it always felt like a new year of school meant a new me, or if it’s because the changing colours of the trees, but the fall has always been more important to me than January 1.

I started monthly goals last month, and I believe they were quite the success. I feel like I did them all justice, but I should have focused more on my health and wellness, and on small acts of kindness. If you want to read my September Goals, you can click here. For October my goals are going to reflect me moving to a whole different part of Canada.

Make my new apartment feel like home.

I’ve never lived alone; I’ve always had roommates, and I’m finally over the stage of my life. I don’t want to have roommates anymore, and I want my home to be just for Obi and myself. I want to decorate my space to make me feel comfortable and creative.

Give 110% to my new job

Starting a new job is always intimidating and nerve racking, but I know this job is going to be great. I’m going to give my all and more every day, so they know they made the right choice hiring me. I can’t wait to get to work.

Meditate more

After doing my 21-day meditate I have had a small mental block when it comes to yoga and meditate. My life felt like it was in shambles for a while, and my mind was never calm or at peace. I can’t wait to work on that, and get back into the groove.

I want to make a section of my living room just for meditation and yoga. Somewhere filled with candles, calming quotes, lavender incents, and my yoga mat.

When I was on holiday I went to Chapters and picked up a few books. I want to read more. I find myself watching Youtube videos or movies before bed, when I really should be reading. Currently I’m reading Paper Towns and I love it!


When I reach British Columbia, I will have driven in every single province in Canada other than Newfoundland. I think that’s really cool for a 22 year old. I want to experience British Columbia… I want to see all the little coves, and places tourists don’t look. I want to make BC my home, and I want to know everything about the province.

It’s always been a dream of mine to make it to British Columbia, and my dream has finally come true. It feels great.

I’m looking forward to October more than I’ve looked forward to a lot of previous months. It really is a fresh new start for me, and even though I’m not in BC yet I feel like a weight is lifted off my shoulders already.

    What a great idea! I have been doing weekly goals in my journal every week and was thinking about sharing them on my blog as well- I go back at the end of the week and check off what I completed and if I didn’t complete a goal, but did something different that was still good, I go back and write that goal next to it-kinda like a “hey, don’t beat yourself up, you didn’t do this, but you did this!”
    It’s really helpful. I have fallen off of my yoga and mediation game lately as well, need to get back on that- and not just say it, but do it! Thanks for the inspiration.

      You’re welcome! My November goals are going on my blog tomorrow, you’ll have to check them out! I like the idea of weekly goals too. I do daily goals for work, but I think I might start weekly as well! oxo
