Last Wednesday the whole family piled into the rental car and headed to Peggy’s Cove. I hadn’t been to the lighthouse in years, and my dad and stepmom have never, so a day trip there was a must! The first lighthouse was built around 1868, and the current structure was built in 1914.

It was quite a foggy day, but it was still a nice trip to take all together. We were smart and didn’t get too close to the water, although some did. After walking around rocks we hit up the espresso cafe, and gift shop.

This holiday in Nova Scotia was such a success, and we’ve explored so many places. This province sure is beautiful, if you haven’t made Nova Scotia a holiday destination, you better start planning a trip to the east coast!

Lighthouses don’t go running all over an island looking for boats to save; they just stand there shining.

These photographs are beautiful! I’ve never been to a lighthouse, but it’s definitely on my list of things to do. This one is gorgeous!
