Toronto Views

If you couldn’t already tell by the tattoo on my back … I love Toronto.

I love the views, the business, the food, the number of activities you can do, the people and the subway. I could spend HOURS travelling from one side of the subway to the other… just for fun. (I’ve done it before actually… sorry Nico!)

While I was in Ontario I wanted to go to Toronto. I didn’t necessarily need to go downtown, but I wanted to be in the area.

My friend Nico and I decided to drive to Canada’s Wonderland to ride some roller coasters for a day. If you didn’t know already… I also love roller coasters. I love how the excitement you feel gets jumbled together with your nerves. I love the speed and the feeling once the ride comes to an end. It’s the adrenaline that I just can’t get enough of!

Wonderland was amazing. On the first roller coaster, it just so happened that we had to sit at the very front of the ride. I was scared shitless since it was incredibly high, but I made it work and it was so awesome. I even put my hands up in the air at one point.

After spending hours in the sun, Nico and I eventually went to get some sushi. Nico and I have a thing where it seems whenever we see each other, no matter where we are, we eat sushi.

Toronto sushi is a little different though because we knew exactly where we were going. We went to a place called Spoon and Fork. Nico had taken me there years ago and I fell in love with the atmosphere and the food. I told Nico before we even saw each other that is where we were eating.

After stuffing our faces, we went on a walk in Humber Bay Park. We could see the Toronto skyline, the sailboats floating by and the people in the park having a wonderful time.

My Toronto day was perfect.

It reminded me that just because friends don’t live close to one another, doesn’t mean a friendship has to end. It’s an excuse to see someone, adventure somewhere and spend the whole time catching up and laughing.

As we grow up, we realize it becomes less important to have a ton of friends and more important to have real ones.

I love that park! It would be the perfect place to bike. I’m trying to find the British Columbia equivalent right now.

Toronto is such a great city. I went for this past New Year’s Eve and had an absolute blast, even in the COLD! I want to go back when it warms up and explore what they have to offer a bit more. Cheers
