Wardrobe Wednesday: Don’t be afraid

Wardrobe Wednesday: Don’t be afraid

For the longest time when it came to fashion I never wore what I wanted to, or what I liked, because I didn’t want to stand out. I was in a stage of my life where I thought if I stood out, people would think I was weird.

Now I want to stand out, because fashion is one of the many ways to show off who you really are!

I’ve always wanted a pair of printed trousers but I didn’t think I could pull them off, but I spotted a pair at H&M and I said screw it and bought them. They were on sale for $15, and I thought they would be a great summer essential, and I was right!

Here I paired the pants with a black shirt from Reitmans that has some lace detail. The shirt I also bought on sale in the petite section. I usually try to look throughout the whole store for finds, even the men’s section because you never know what you’ll find!

My shoes are simple red wedges that I think give a little pop of colour, and are eye catching. My necklace is from Foldit Creations, a jewelry line my friend created.  It’s amazing.

Don’t be afraid to try things on that you normally wouldn’t because you never know what you can rock until you try.

Beauty begins the moment you decide to be yourself.

I got some CRAZY printed pants after I had my daughter. I hated getting dressed because of the weight gain, but somehow those pants lifted my spirits every time I put them on. I even tailored them to fit me when I lost the weight! I still wear them at least once a week. Great post, and great necklace BTW!

You look comfortable and the outfit doesn’t make you stand out in a bad way! I’m also getting back to the point of only wearing clothing I like, even if it’s “out of fashion.”

I love your look! I wish I could pull these kinds of things off, but I think I will just look like I’m trying too hard. But you look great!

You have great style! I’ve never been a trend follower. Even as a tween I dressed in what I liked and didn’t watch what was en vogue, but I’ve always been complimented and sometimes copied on my style. You’re a trendsetter!
