I have traveled a lot in my life within Canada, so today I’m going to take the chance to use Wardrobe Wednesday to talk about my travel needs and clothing choices.
Tonight I am getting on the overnight greyhound bus and making my way to Winnipeg to catch a plane tomorrow. Tomorrow I am going to arrive in Nova Scotia for the first time in almost two years, and my dad, my brother and my soon to be sister in law will be meeting me there (I CAN’T CONTAIN MY EXCITEMENT.) This will be the first time seeing my dad since 2010.
The word ‘excitement’ does not even do justice to how I am feeling about this trip. I’m going to be seeing my brother marry the love of his life, and I’m going to get to reconnect with my dad, and friends that I haven’t seen in ages. This holiday is extremely needed. Stay tuned for ocean pictures, wedding pictures, and pictures of my friends and their babies.
Tonight for the bus I’m going to be wearing my favourite hoodie from Paint Lake Lodge where I work part time, and a pair of leggings. It’s nothing too exciting, or worthy of a picture. Tomorrow morning when I wake up, I’ll be changing into my plane attire. I wanted my clothes to look nice since it’s a short enough flight and I’ll be going to the rehearsal dinner pretty much as soon as I land, but to be comfy too so I don’t hate my life on the flight.
I picked this nice pink blouse I bought from Eclipse, my favourite pair of comfortable jeans, and a nice baggy wool cardigan from Reitman’s.
In my carry on bag I have my book, my Harry Potter magazine I’m dying to read, as well as a bunch of other bits and bobs. Socks for a plane, a pillow, as well as dry shampoo are all musts for me.
What do you pack in your carry on bag, and what do you wear while flying?
No matter where I roam, Nova Scotia will always be my home.
